Ey'con 88 was founded in California in 2001 by Andrew Siu Kay Yan. The number "88" was chosen from Chinese culture, where it carries the heartfelt meaning of good fortune and smooth journeys.
The Shop
Our physical store sits at 746 Washington St in the heart of San Francisco's Chinatown. We are a trusted neighbourhood optical shop — and a hidden gem for vintage and niche eyewear. Many enthusiasts of classic frames make a special trip to visit us.
We keep our team small, with just three members. Our brick-and-mortar space provides full optical services: eye examinations, prescription dispensing, frame adjustment, repair, and lens replacement. While our offline shop focuses on professional optical care, our online store specialises in curated sunglasses.
